Peace Poetry Contest
Please
encourage your students to write a poetry wishing for peace in
English and
send them to us. It would be great if this activity was
included in your teaching
program. Selected works will be awarded a
prize and read during the flower
offering ceremony in the free concert.
Eligible applicants: Grade
1 to Year 12
Length of the work: Less than 200 words.
Each work should
have the following information: Student's name, grade, school name, school address,
teacher's name and teacher's contact
(telephone & email)
Deadline:
31 July
How to send students' works:
(1) Please send them to JAPEP,

(2) Please send them by email
to japep@japep.com.au Please write "Peace
Poetry"
in subject box.
Awards:4 students will be awarded prizes and their teachers
will be
contacted at the beginning of August. Awards include certificates and
a
surprise prize (a book voucher etc.) for the first prize winner
(provided
by sponsors of the event) . These awards will be sent or presented at the concert.

Peter Rose (Poet, Author, Editor of Australian Book Review)

(1) Students can submit as many entries as they like.
(2) Sent works
will not be returned.
(3) Selected works with their authors' names, school
and grade may be published in the web or other forms.
(4) Copy right of sent

Japanese for Peace is
aiming to collect 10,000 paper cranes. Please teach
your students how to make
paper cranes (http://www.cranesflyforpeace.com/
)
and send them to us. We are planning to exhibit these cranes at the
concert
before sending them to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Size of paper: 20
cm X 20 cm or smaller.
Colour; Any colour.
Please send them
